Owning the power juicer may just be that encouragement on the road to a much healthier and happier lifestyle. Coming to the brand, Andrew James is a relatively new brand formed in the UK in 2005, but has quickly earned a reputation for high quality innovative design in all their kitchen appliances, health & fitness, children and pet products. As a quick update, their food mixers were recently voted by the ‘Independent’ as being in the UK’s best-selling items following the great success of their stone grills.

Design features:

The Andrew James Professional Power Juicer looks great and has a fine, slick design, and operationally it is pretty slick too. The juicer features a high quality stainless steel finish and its unique design can complement any kitchen. The fact you can juice whole fruits and vegetables is quite useful so you do not need to stand and cut them up into little pieces. The juicer comes with a handy jug at the side to save the mess that others may make. For those who do not know yet, the Andrew James Juicer is a centrifugal juicer that gives you rapid juicing and are effective over a wide range of fruits and vegetables. The juicer can take in whole fruits and veggies up to 75mm diameter.

Juicer operation:

The Andrew James Centrifugal juicer comes with a powerful 850-watt motor that can produce a quart of juice in less than a minute or so.  Said that, we found the juicer to be lot quieter than most juicers available on the market. The motor can spin the durable, stainless steel blades at very high speeds shedding the produce into little parts and then the centrifugal force does the extraction of the juice content by pressing the pulp through the mesh filter and finally forces the remaining pulp up and into a detachable pulp container of an extra large capacity of 2 litres. This means the container can hold more residual pulp at one time without your having to stop to remove the pulp while you are juicing. This certainly is a big time saver!

2-speed rotary dial switch:

There is an easy to use 2-speed rotary dial switch knob power control for both hard as well as soft fruits at 15000 rpm and 18000 rpm respectively. This variable speed unit with the dial allows you to adjust the speed settings to suit the task at hand.
Extra Large Chute:
The juicer has an appreciably large capacity feed chute for processing whole fruits and veggies without the need of pre-cutting or slicing them. The only downside to it, which is more of an annoyance, is when we pressed the products into the chute, the skin on the hand caught where the tamper meets the funnel; therefore, you have to hold the end of the tamper in the way it does not create blisters.

Auto shut off function:

You will appreciate some of the safety features that the Andrew James Professional 850 watts juicer is built-in with, one of which is the auto shut off function (motor protector) that helps the juicer to shut itself off if it senses overheating and this perhaps adds an added layer of safety. The automatic shut-off feature will kick in if you forget to turn the motor off and add to the convenience of the appliance.

Detachable pulp-bin:

The juicer also features easy to clean detachable centrifuge and pulp-bin accessories. An extra large, removable pulp bin will let you to juice longer and add nutrient rich pulp to all your recipes. The addition of the juice pulp bin has also made cleaning so much easier.

30% more juice yield:

The Andrew James Professional Power Juicer’s ability to juice whole fruits can reduce the juicing time and more importantly it can yield up to 30% more nutritious, delicious juice (correction as more goodness!) than other centrifugal juicers, courtesy, its variable speed settings. We first thought it was simply marketing rhetoric when the literature stated the device extracts 30% more juice, but to our surprise, they were not lying. The bottom line – you can get more quantity of juice from the same amount of food which saves you money on your grocery bill.

Accessories:

The 850 watts Andrew James Professional juicer comes complete with a nice glass jug that will help keep your juice fresh for longer, retaining all the nutrients and flavour. Sometimes, cleaning the filter device can be a bit painful, but the brush that comes alongside the appliance makes the cleaning process a lot easier.

Easy to clean:

The Andrew James Juicer is one of the easiest juicers to clean and we also had no problem dismantling the various parts before clean up and putting them back together. Cleaning the juicer components also takes less time. The non-mechanical parts of the juicer are completely dishwasher proof and you will have no trouble running them through your dishwasher. When it comes to cleaning the jug, simply rinse it and brush off any residues.
Use the tiny brush to clean the micromesh filter and then just rinse under a running tap.

Manufacturer Warranty:

The product is covered under a 12 month manufacturer warranty against manufacturing defects from the date of purchase.

Conclusion:

The Andrew James juicer is a great machine and can do the job of juicing things like apples, celery, pineapples, carrots, etc with no problems at all. Having said that, we have had a few customers who had complained that they do not get much juice for the amount of fruits and vegetables that are put through it. We found that the extract contains lesser amount of pulp than most juicers because of the juicer’s ability to effectively separate the juice from the pulp. This juicer has been CE / ROHS approved as a mark of its quality standards. As a final point, you will be in for a little disappointment, if you have been hoping for too much on the juicer. But for the price tag that it comes in, you will be really glad you bought it.
